The wrong (false) judgments specific to the greed are characterized by some false expectations through which we think that our own harmony and existence and that of the surrounding systems, can be maintained in the conditions in which:
- we do much less than it’s necessary (we are misers);
- we do much more than it’s necessary and enough for keeping this harmony (we “waste”) for each of these seven systems of our own being.
There are some specific actions which must be performed, so that the system can keep its harmony.
When we don’t perform these actions, or perform them less than it’s enough for keeping the well-functioning of these systems, we cause a disequilibrium pointed out by the signals of psychical suffering specific to the greed (to the hunger, the cold, the loneliness) or to the “waste” (the stuffing, the drunkenness, the superficiality in relations, etc.).
1. For the physical system -When we do much less than it’s necessary for the keeping of the harmony of the physical body, different signals of hunger, excessive weakness, thirsty, cold, excessive warmth, may appear. When we do much more than it’s necessary and enough for the physical harmonization, we also disturb the harmony; and then, specific signals of suffering may appear (sensations of stuffing, excessive fatness, headaches, etc.).
The signals of pain point us out that we have some wrong judgments in our psyche, which make us to surpass a normal equilibrium of our body; that it’s necessary to correct these judgments, if we don’t want to destroy our own harmony and existence (the thirst points out the dehydration, the sensation of excessive cold precedes the hypothermia, that of excessive warmth the dehydration and the danger of sunstroke, the fatness may lead to heart attacks, the drunkenness to accidents, etc. and all these even to death).
2. For the energetic system - When we use much too less from the energy we have, this accumulates itself in quantities more than necessary and this state is pointed out by specific sufferings: sleeplessness, torpor, apathy, irritation, etc.
When we use too much from the energy we have, this thing is pointed out by the sensations of exhaustion, stress, excessive tiredness.
When we receive these signals, we know that’s necessary to restate the judgments which caused all these disequilibriums and to perform an action of energization (rest) - in the case of the hyperactivity (useless agitation) or different actions necessary for the consuming of the extra energy-in the case of the hyper-passivity (laziness).
3. For the emotional – perceptive - communicative system - When we communicate much less than it’s necessary or when we have a low perceptive afflux, sensations of certain specific suffering can appear: the coldness, the apathy, the boredom, the despise, etc.
All these point out that, in those moments, we have in our psyche some false expectations specific to the laziness, the pride, the anger or greed; they deter us to communicate and isolate ourselves. If we want to restore the harmony of the social system, it’s necessary to eliminate them from our psyche.
But when we communicate and perceive more than it’s necessary, at a given moment, when we have a superficial communication dense in information of no use, rich in words but lack of sincerity, when we empathize in an exaggerated way with the others (if they are sad, we are sad, too; if they get angry, we get angry, too), then, this extra communication is pointed out by specific sufferings: useless agitation, discomfort, stress, boredom, etc.
For keeping the balance of the communicative system, it’s necessary to have an open, sincere, friendly and profound friendly communication and to follow the three stages already mentioned (listen-understand-help).
A contact with the new information is also necessary; but the amount of information must be neither too small (situation pointed out by boredom and desertion) nor too great (situation pointed out by stress, confusion, overwhelming).
4. For the system of the concrete mental
When we have too little knowledge than it would be necessary for the maintenance of our harmony, we are warned by signals of agitation, stress, confusion, anxiety, etc.
When we make too little for the maintenance in our psyche of some correct judgments, and thus letting the wrong ones to take place, we are warned by signals of suffering specific to the anger, pride, sadness, fear, laziness, etc.
When we gather too many useless knowledge and we aren’t aware of them but we just stock them (with no profoundness or utility for our superior harmonization), we are also warned by specific agitations, anxieties, confusions.
On this level, the lack of a balance appears either when we have only a few knowledge or some doctrines (not checked or analyzed), but not enough for the beginning of some actions meant for the maintenance and the strengthen the harmony, or when we have a lot of knowledge but superficial ones (“encyclopedic ones”) and almost totally useless for keeping the harmony.
The only useful knowledge are those which help us to understand deeply (scientifically) the mechanisms of running of the systems from our own being; and thus to be bale to strengthen our own harmony.
5. For the existential-philosophic system we can talk about:
-a “stinginess” of searching by ourselves all the information received through testimony or in the manifestation of the ideals through ourselves; and in this case, specific sufferings appear: agitations, confusions, anxieties, etc. which warn us that we have in us some wrong judgments specific to the different doctrines and to the non-ideals;
- a “waste” in searching through ourselves all that’s around us.
We ask ourselves a lot of questions but we don’t search either of them deeply.
We waste out attention in thousands of problems and thus we don’t have time to go thoroughly into them in order to understand and master the mechanisms of our own system and of the surrounding ones, mechanisms made for the maintenance and strengthen our own harmony.
This "waste" is also pointed out by specific agitations, anxieties, etc.
6. In the case of the intuitive mental system
- the “stinginess” consists in considering that you can’t know anything (not even in a relative mode) – attitude that is obviously wrong and it is signalize by agitations, confusions, anxieties, etc.
- the “waste” consists in considering contra that you know everything (in an absolute mode) resulting from here dogmatic attitudes and absolutisms.
7. For the system of the volitive mental
- “the stinginess” consist in wanting to do much less that it is necessary for the harmonization of our own system, due to some specific false expectations pointed out by sufferings specific to them.
- “the waste” consists in keeping in ourselves some impossible desires, dreams, groundless hopes, chimeras or in keeping some desires without any real support and for whose achievement we make only declarative steps.
So, we see that the stinginess and the waste, as forms of manifestation of the greed, can be found in each system of the human being.
That is why it is absolutely necessary to realize their presence when they show up (possible thing, if we are careful at the specific signals of suffering previously mentioned in order to correct promptly the false expectation characteristic to them:
“I should always be able to keep the harmony of my own system, without being necessary to perform any specific action (or performing an insufficient one) for this (being “stingy”).”
“I should always be able to keep my harmony doing more that it is necessary and enough for this (making “waste”)”.
An eloquent example is that with the drugs; when we take some drugs, much less or much more, than the quantity prescribed by the doctor, we can not expect that the disease will disappear.
The manifestation of the greed specific to the stinginess has quite serious causes in laziness (the laziness of doing something), in fear (of being different from the others), in pride (of considering that we know enough) etc.
The manifestation specific to the waste has its causes in the pride (to praise with many knowledge even if they are superficial), in the laziness (of going deeper in the knowledge we have) etc.
